Fusion 360 for Makers

So you have access to a 3D printer and want to join the new Industrial Revolution? You want to make original designs and maybe even customize those designs to specific people? That means you can’t just download and print other people’s files—you need to learn that software yourself! Well, if you are just learning how to do that or have outgrown the “starter” apps, you’ve come to the right place! With this course you’ll soon be making your own designs with Autodesk’s Fusion 360 software.

Fusion 360 is a 3D design program. Autodesk chose that name because of the many software packages that are rolled into it. You can do computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and computer-aided engineering (CAE) tasks. Fusion 360 is a robust program, and it can be complicated, but it is still suitable for all levels of user. Whether you’re new to modeling, a hobbyist, or an experienced engineer, you’ll find this software useful.

So make sure you CAD along with this course to get the most out of it.

Arduino CTC 101

Arduino Creative Technologies in the Classroom (CTC) is a collection of experiments aimed at transforming the way technology is taught.

These experiments introduce basic concepts in programming, electronics, and mechanics in an approachable, playful way. The project challenges traditional methods of learning technology by encouraging teachers and students to use the internet as the main tool for gathering information and documenting the projects they build.

The CTC project is a toolbox comprised of more than 20 hands-on, easily assembled electronic experiments; an online source for course materials and documentation tools; and a collaborative space where students and teachers can meet to share their findings and ask technical questions.
